Registered architect and planner, a business leader, and an original founder of Dekker/Perich/Sabatini design firm
Dale Dekker is a registered architect and planner, a business leader, and an original founder of Dekker/Perich/Sabatini design firm. Dale has over 35 years of experience, which includes the design of high tech, one-of-a-kind research facilities for Sandia National Laboratory, award-winning school designs across the Southwest, and large-scale master planning projects, such as the UNM Master Plan Update. Raised in Albuquerque, Dale has developed an extensive network of individuals and companies that are routinely brought together in partnerships that support communities and inspire innovative solutions for some of New Mexico’s biggest challenges. Water and its use in the built environment is of particular interest to Dale, and in addition to serving on the Customer Advisory Committee of the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority, he has also been a member of the working group that has developed the Rio Grande Water Fund a Comprehensive Plan for Wildfire and Water Source Protection, an effort spearheaded by The Nature Conservancy. Other endeavors include leading an effort for the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce to forecast what the region might be like in 50 years, identifying economic development opportunities throughout the state, and participating in Innovate ABQ and other projects intended to spur creative collaborations.
